Special Events
In addition to weekly classes, Young Americans Schools of Self-Defense hosts several special events throughout the year. Some of these include:
- Tournaments - Our next tournament is scheduled for Saturday, April 19, 2008, at 12:00 Noon (registration from 10:30 - 12:00 Noon) in Kennedy Senior High School's Gymnasium. Click here for our registration form and more information.

- Wushu Camp - This year's Wushu camp is scheduled for Tuesday, July 17 through Thursday, July 19, 2007, from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm in Hastings, Minnesota. See the attached flyer for more information about this exciting opportunity!
The Grandmaster of Wushu, Grandmaster Wu Bin, from Beijing China, oversees our Wushu curriculum. He comes to Minnesota each summer to conduct instruction camps in Wushu forms.
Also pictured with him is his most famous student, Mr. Jet Li. Mr. Li has been a movie star for over 15 years, incorporating his Wushu expertise in all his films.
